Diabetic diet System
Diet system can differ from one diabetic patient to another
according to the weight of the patient, the degree of
blood sugar, body activity, and sports practice. So,
the doctor has to determine what the patient needs
from calories.
The diet
for the diabetic person helps him to control sugar in
blood, weight control,
, and control increase in blood
pressure.

Breakfast:
1-
Beans (2 spoons) or
1 boiled egg or one spoon of honey.
2- (50-100) gm white cheese (low
fat), low salt for high blood pressure patients or
30gm Gouda cheese or Flamank.
3- One yogurt cup or 3/2 milk
glass ( ˝ fat preferable or without fat)
4- ˝ bread or 2 diet toast.
5- Tomato or cucumber or one
fruit.
Lunch
1- Meats (100 GM
meat , or 150gm chicken or turkey or 200 gm fish
) , it is preferable that is either boiled or grilled.
2- Carbohydrates ( 4/3 bread or 6
spoons of rice or 6 spoons of noodles)
3-Vegetables ( cabbage -
cauliflower- eggplant- pea beans- liner beans- jew’s
mallow- spinach- vegetable marrow- artichoke- okra-
purslane pussley-mallow)
4-Fruits.
Dinner
1-100gm white meat.
2- ……… or a dish of lentil.
3- Yogurt cup.
4- ˝ local bread or 2 diet toast.
Fruits
Apple
(1 fruit) – Orange (2
fruits) –Guava (2 fruits) – Pears (2 fruits) – Yousfee
(2 fruits) –Water Millon Or Peach (2 pieces of medium
size) – Grapes (12 seeds) - Mango (medium fruit) –
Dates (4 fruits) – Peach (2 fruits) – Plum or apricot
(3 fruits).

cucumber).
2- Spices (all but not salt, it is
preferable not to increase it specially for high blood
pressure patients).

- Black honeys, chocolate, halava,
Tahini.
- Tarts, cookies, and jam.
- Alcoholics and wine.
To keep the blood sugar stable, you must do the
following:
1- Restrict to the routine.
2- Reach the perfect weight.
3- Perform daily sports like
walking.
4- Avoid being nervous.

· Taking the

clinic, ENT clinic, Urology for males and

carbonated water.
Increase from drinking a lot of fresh fruit juices
like; orange juice and guava.
You should
eat a lot of :
Fresh
vegetables (green salad, onion, radish, garlic,
cabbage, fresh cauliflower) because they contain a
high percentage of fibers and vitamins.
Natural fruits (for non-diabetes patients only)
Legumes and grains -Water, local bread and bran.
Avoid:
Avoid all sorts of smoking (cigarettes, cigar, pipe,
narghile, gouza)
Avoid all meats containing high cholesterol percentage
(ducks, geese, pigeon, sheep meat, shrimp, liver,
kidney, brain, chicken skins, canned meat).
Preferred Meats:
Boiled and grilled fish.
Cheese:
Only cottage cheese is
preferred with avoiding all cooked cheeses such as ,
flamenco , full grease white cheese

The patient
should avoid all kind of food that increases disease
symptoms. The symptoms may differ from one patient to
another but there are special kinds of food that the
patient should avoid like the following:
- Pepper - excess spicy and
condiment.
- Seeds – guava – prickly pear
- Carbonated water –
- Increase in garlic and onion.

Medical Diet System
Beverages:
Avoiding spirits, carbonated water, all preserved
beverages.
Increase from drinking a lot of (water, liquids, fresh
fruit juices without sugar like; orange juice and
guava without sugar).
Cheese:
Only cottage cheese is preferred with avoiding all
cooked cheeses such as
, flamenco ,
full grease white cheese
Preferred Meats:
Boiled and grilled fish.
Boiled and grilled meat (avoiding soup), ,
fish, rabbits, chickens especially the upper surface
of the meat.
Eating meat should be three to four times a week.
Vegetable protein (lentils and beans) is preferred to
be three times a week.
Avoid:
Avoid all sorts of smoking (cigarettes, cigar, pipe,
narghile)
Avoid manufactured fats (e.g., vegetable ghee), sugar,
white rice, white flour, and all derived foods. (You
can have little of olive oil, butter, and natural
ghee)
Avoid all meats containing high cholesterol percentage
(ducks, geese, pigeon, sheep meat, shrimp, liver,
kidney, brain, chicken skins, canned meat)
You should eat a lot of :
