Endoscopy:
This
unit is responsible for handling all the diagnostic endoscopy for the digestive system. It can be used
also for surgical interference like Injection Sclerotherapy of esophageal Varicies., Polypectomy (
gastic &colonic), ERCP.

Ophthalmology:
This unit is equipped with highly technical devices
for inspection and treatment like:
1. Eye checking ultrasonography apparatus.
2. Field of vision examining apparatus.
3. Fundus examining apparatus.
4. Laser treatment for retina Vitreos and Lens
5. Accurate surgical microscopes.

Enthalmology:
This
unit is equipped with the most advanced examining
devices like surgical microscopes, Fibro optic endoscopy to examine the nose, Paranasal sinuses,
Pharynx, and Larynx. In addition to this, there is
another unit to diagnose and treat hearing problems,
speech, and equilibrium diseases.

Neurosurgery:
This
unit performs all the different microscopic surgeries
for brain, base of skull, and cerebral brain blood
vessels for adults and children.

Rheumatology &
rehabilitation:
This unit contains different medical checking and
treatment devices with high
efficiencies.
1. Ultrasonography devices.

3. Heating devices like short waves, infrared,
ultraviolet, wax.
4. Treatment bathrooms that have different sizes
allowing treating the whole patient or one of his
limbs.

6. Electromyography & Nerve Conduction device(
EMG & NC)
7. Rehabilitation for pulmonary & cardiac
patient devices.
8. Jemneisiam for treating locomotor system
diseases.

Operation rooms:
This unit consists of 18-operation room distributed as
follows: 2 operation rooms in the emergency unit - 2
rooms in the ninth floor- 14 operation rooms in the
ground floor.
- The operation unit provides the possibility of
sterilization doctors and the staff before the
operations immediately. The unit also provides opening
and closing the taps without touching them and also
closing the doors once touched by the leg. The unit is
distinguished by fast and easy connection with nurses
and other employees outside the operation room all
this through advanced communication devices. The 2
operation rooms are provided with windows through
which students can view the operations from outside.
- These rooms are supported with surgical
microscopes that are concerned with Neurosurgery,
Ophthalmology, ENT, and surgical laser devices that
treat all cases. All operation rooms are supplied with
movable devices Diagnostic Radiology to photocopy
during the surgeries. It has the facility of being
stored on videocassettes for later use in different
purposes.
- As for the Anesthesiology unit, it is equipped
with the most advanced Anesthesiology devices that
allow the detailed supervision of all body functions
during and after anesthetization. Attached to this
section, other rooms for recovery and it is equipped
also with artificial respiration devices, monitors,
and systems for measuring the blood circulation, and
air / water mattress for prevention of bed stones.

Urology:
This
unit is equipped with the most advanced diagnosing
devices like Per Anal Ultrasonography and ,,,,, that
are used in different diagnosing and treatment
purposes. The laser X ray device that is used in
treating Prostatic enlargement, Surface tumor of the
urinary system. In addition to this, the unit has the
ability to do renal transplantation.

Vascular lab:
This
unit contains the most advanced devices that provide
treating and diagnoses services. The unit includes
Color Duplex for examining peripheral blood vessels,
cervical blood vessels, Thoracic Blood vessels, and
abdominal blood vessels and Echocardiolography device
with Trans Esophagoal Probe, Stress ECG device, Blood
pressure monitors, and Holter Monitor. The unit
contains Laser Doppler to examine Plethysmography.

Hematology unit:
This
unit checks and treats congenital and acquired blood
disease, as well as acute and chronic Hematological
malignancies and Lymphomas, bleeding and coagulation
disease. The unit is also equipped with the most
advanced cell separator for therapy, blood component
transfusion. The unit also includes all the devices
needed for bone marrow transplantation.

Emergency Department
Emergency Department is something like a small hospital highly equipped
to provide quick saving services for emergency cases,
accidents, and severe injuries. Following are the
details:

This service is provided by experienced
professors from Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.
Second: Ambulances
(1) Ambulance
equipped for critical cases and severe injuries.

Third: Operation Room
(2) Operation
Rooms
equipped for emergency and urgent surgeries (small and
moderate only). Large and skillful operations are
operated at central operation rooms next to Emergency
Department.
Fourth: Awakening Room
Supplied with (10) beds for emergency surgeries, Oxygen pipeline,
drainers, and emergency drugs.
Fifth: Lung/Heart Refreshing Room
Supplied with needed equipments and medicines to save sudden cardiac
arrest and lung functions failure. A team of a
professional physician and two first-aid men is
available to receive such cases all day long.
Sixth: Checkup Room
(3) Checkup
rooms supplied with all appliances and medicines a
doctor needs to check patients and the injured up and
offer the best medical service.
Seventh: Cast for Fractures Room
Supplied specially to make different casts for simple fractures and
contains necessary tools to remove the cast.
Eighth: Laboratory and Diagnostic Services.
They include:
1- Radiological analyses for
diagnosing critical and emergency cases. These are
urgently performed at Analyses Laboratories and always
with high priority.
2- Different radiological analyses
such as X-rays and magnetic resonance which are
performed in Radiology Department next to the
Emergency Department.
3- Diagnostic and therapeutic
endoscopes which are performed inside the Endoscopy
Unit without any advance reservation for urgent cases.

Intensive
Care Unit
|

- The
unit consists of 3 halls (12 Beds).
- Each
hall consists of 4 rooms.
- Each
room has one bed, small store, commode, food
table, monitor, IV pump, Suction
device, oxygen
controller.
- The
unit has ventilators, bed-side blood sugar analysis
devices, nebulizers,
scale, crush
trolleys, D/C shock, advanced ECG
devices, Doppler echocardiography.
- There
are 2 doctors supervising the patients in each
Shift (1 assistant lecturer + 1
resident),
besides the daily round of the professor
- For
each 2 patients there is 1 nurse responsible for
them under the supervision of the
head of the
hall.
-The
halls are under the supervision of the unit
supervisor, and the whole unit is
supervised by
the ICU supervisor.
- These
nurses are also helped by the nurse aid and
workers.
-The unit is equipped with a pharmacy as well as
a control room to monitor
the
patients
remotely.
